Guidance for landlords and tenants in the private and social rented sectors to explain the possession action process in the county courts in England and Wales.

The guidance, that has been updated, is used to reflect new legislation extending the prevention on enforcement of evictions in England. Most of which, during the national lockdown and launch of the mediation pilot.

This guide is initially used to help landlords understand what rights and responsibilities they have when pursuing the courts, when taking back the possession back of their property. This new guidance includes the new arrangements, which will be introduced in association with the lifting of the suspension of possession cases in the county on 21st September 2020.
